HH Wedding Series- Paper Goods

Finally, a part of wedding planning I loved very much: paper goods! A large part of why I loved it is because of Hayley at HH Design House! She made everything fun and easy. She is also insanely talented!

I didn’t know exactly what I wanted our invites to look like, but I knew Hayley had to create them. My heart was set on her creating a custom duogram for Luke and me. Once I sat down with Hayley, she told me doing a feminine H with a masculine L would be a bit of a challenge. Which, not shockingly, I myself had previously thought about; and also not shockingly- she blew it out of the water and created it by hand.

We used our custom duogram on our save the dates as well as our invites and wedding programs. I knew I wanted the duogram to be rose gold and that I wanted to incorporate navy into our paper goods since it would be the color of my bridesmaid dresses. The rest of the save the date was all Hayley’s creativity! I changed the photo on her at the last minute, and she completely changed the design to accommodate the new picture! She chose a cream colored paper to go with the colors of our photo, which was perfect because I opted for cream over white for the invites because I thought it flowed better for a fall wedding.

I also knew I wanted our response card to be a vintage postcard of Galveston. I was prepared for Hayley to tell me that was very expensive, but to my surprise, it was cheaper without the envelope.

To make the decisions that I didn’t have a preference about, Hayley had me pull inspiration from her past work. It could have been overwhelming because all of her work is amazing, but I found it helpful to remember the season, church, reception venue and of course my favorite island when making decisions. I wanted everything to flow and be “us”, ya know?

When I saw the envelope liner of the map of Galveston that included the port, I had to have it! Hayley tinted the original image blue to go with the navy theme.

Honestly, I loved all of the paper details, but probably my favorite was the wedding program. The front lists the order of service, while the back features our family members and participants of the mass, as well as a cross and names of our family members in Heaven who we wanted to remember during our mass.

Stickers with our duogram and names were a last minute detail that we chose. I added these to the gift bags for our wedding party and parents, as well as our wedding favor bags.

We loved every single detail, and I highly recommend working with a small business like HH Design House for your wedding details!
